I’m Matheus Silva de Lima, a Brazilian π§π· Electronics and Computer Engineer currently pursuing a Ph. D. at the University of Tsukuba. I’m interested in optimization methods for engineering problems, which includes, in no particular order:
- Metaheuristic Optimization and Uncertainty Quantification.
- Subspace Methods for signal processing.
- Neuro-evolution for efficient surrogate modeling.
- Robots and Autonomous Systems

Simplified CV
I work at Cyberdyne Inc. since 2022. In particular, I design the software stack from firmware to high-level APIs, making heavy use of Navigation2, ROS2 Controls and Behavior Trees, working mostly in C++ and Python. This also includes quality testing (unit tests, memory tests, static analysis, etc…), simulation and deployment. I enjoy working across different levels of abstraction, from low-level hardware design to high-level system behavior.
I have also previously worked at…
- SQUAIR as an electronics engineer designing circuit boards
- Elevential as an electronics engineer developing sensors for a coffee-monitoring application
Feel free to send me a message for colaboration.
